This is a 250GB hard drive and 2GB of RAM sufficient for the Apple MacBook?

My mother is getting a MacBook Christmas (my father). She used to show YouTube videos, web browsing, and Facebook. It comes standard with a Hard Drive 250 GB memory 2. For general use, is it enough? What better results – increasing the hard disk of 320 GB or more RAM to 4GB?
